Ladies always have too much when it comes to beauty, especially make-up accessories. Here’s a few DIY projects to keep your beauty products organised and looking as pretty as you feel with them on.

  1. Provide easy access to organize your makeup

In some parts of the home, such as the bathroom or mirror case , there’s a finite set of things that lady’s always reach for. A Magnetic make-up board is pure genius and it’s a great way to keep yourself organized and your favourite items on hand.

Materials needed:

  • picture frame
  • magnets(preferably small neodymium magnets or magnetic flexible adhesive strips)
  • fabric/wallpaper
  • sheet metal
  • hot glue gun/adhesive glue
  • small cardboard or plastic container

How To Make A Magnetic Makeup Board:

Cut the metal piece according to the size of frame. You can also use a metal cookie sheet or tray.

Cover metal with a piece of wallpaper or fabric using a hot glue gun or adhesive glue.

Insert metal sheet into frame and secure. (Place a piece of cardboard behind metal to achieve a tighter fit.)

Attach the magnets to the backs of flat-surface products like eyeshadow, blush and bronzer. If you know your products don’t last long enough to put a magnet on, then affix to cups and containers to easily store tubes of lipstick and mascara, as well as brushes.

Arrange your makeup products on the board and hang it on the wall.

2. Jewellery organiser

Most ladies struggle to fit and organise chunky, colourful necklaces and earrings to wear with their outfits in their small jewellery boxes. We have our magnetic solution for you. What is the difference between this and others? Well, it’s magnetic so you can move everything around quickly and easily, because styles change. Necklaces change. It gives you the ability to change where things hang later on. How to make it and materials needed:

  • One 24 x 36 poster frame
  • One 24 x 36 flat sheet metal {available at Home Depot}
  • Fabric
  • Spray Adhesive and Packing Tape {or some other wide tape}
  • Magnetic hooks

It’s easy, firstly wrap the flat sheet metal with fabric of your choice- you can use a spray adhesive to help attached the fabric and then use tape on the back to hold it down. Put the metal sheet inside the poster frame and hang it up/place it where you need it! Lastly, attach the magnetic hooks and hang your jewellery. As easy as that!
